In 1998, Mr. and Mrs. Uralsky established the Russian Ballet School in Sea Cliff, New York. Their school follows the graded syllabus of Agripina Vaganova (1871-1951), which is recognized worldwide as the foremost method of teaching ballet. Irina Vassileni-Uralsky has successfully adapted and implemented the Vaganova syllabus for the United States learning environment. She held the position from 1991 to 1997 which time she was the director of a 200-plus student school. She managed the administrative staff and the teaching staff and coordinated all projects on behalf of the school including curriculum, advertising, marketing, and other special events. In addition to her duties within the school, Mrs. Uralsky was also an integral part of company functions. Her responsibilities as Associate Artistic Director included restaging classical ballets and coaching dancers at every level within the company from principals to corps de ballet.

Mrs. Uralsky began her training by entering the Moscow Academic Choreographic School (Bolshoi Ballet Academy) in Moscow, Russia at the age of ten. After graduating in 1979, she was asked to join the Bolshoi Ballet, touring worldwide, and performing with the company in Swan Lake, Giselle, Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker, Don Quixote, Spartacus, Paquita, and many others.
